A lot of customers don’t really know what dry cleaning means or the process. Some may think dry cleaning actually means what it says and no liquid is added to clean the clothes and household items. Professional dry cleaning does involve the clothes getting washed in liquid, but not the detergent used at home, we use specific liquids to wash the items. At White Star Dry Cleaner we have an expert staff that takes care of our customers and their apparel items. Let us tell you a little more about the dry cleaning process!

Once you become a client and create an account with us, your articles of clothing will be individually checked and assigned a barcode that will allow us to track the item throughout the process. After the dry cleaning pieces are barcoded by our front desk staff, the items will be separated by the special instructions given to us per client. Men’s button down shirts will be organized by no starch, light starch, or heavy starch.

After the cleaning process takes place, your items will be bagged and placed on the conveyor belt with a specific number so we can keep everything organized. We have proudly provided dry cleaning services to the Chattanooga area since 1960.
